All aboard!
Take a train ride to the North Pole on the Polar Express this month and bring Chris Van Allsburg’s popular children’s tale, The Polar Express, to life. Here are the remaining dates for area train rides:
• Cape Cod Polar Express, through Dec. 30, dates and times vary, Cape Cod Central Railroad, Cape Cod. Departures from Buzzard’s Bay, Hyannis and Sandwich. Read along with the story as the train makes its magical ride to the North Pole. Enjoy hot chocolate, cookies, caroling and a special gift for each child. Pajamas are encouraged! • A Christmas Journey, Dec. 8, 9 and 15, times vary, EcoTarium, 222 Harrington Way, Worcester. The Explorer Express Train takes a trip around the EcoTarium’s grounds, followed by cocoa, cookies and a visit with Santa. $9, plus museum admission. 508-929-2703; ecotarium.org.
