The Charles River Creative Arts Program has been a national leader in the summer multi-arts experience since 1970. Providing and engaging, supportive and electric environment, our dedicated, professionally accomplished staff inspires young artists from diverse backgrounds to explore creative individual expression.
Our students engage their own unique interests to design their own class schedule, choosing from over 135 offerings in visual art, dance, theatre, music performance and recording, video, animation, digital and darkroom photo, textiles, journalism, poetry, sports, and so much more. It is an artistic adventure of your own creation—hone your skills in fashion design, compose a hit song, write an article for our daily newspaper, choreograph a dance, or create a strange and wonderful sculpture–the choice is yours.

Two 4-week sessions are offered every summer. Students may enroll in one or more sessions.
Session 1: June 24 - July 19
Session 2: July 22 - August 17

And for children ages 6 - 8 CHARLES RIVER CREATIVE STARTS
An immersive introduction to multi-arts:
Charles River Creative Starts provides an opportunity for children ages 6-8 to begin exploring and developing their artistic talents in a welcoming, stimulating environment. Each two-week session features a unique theme, tying together inspiring projects across a wide spectrum of visual and performing arts. With a dedicated Creative Starts staff, space, and resources, budding artistswill enjoy the nationally renown CRCAP model, perfectly tailored to their age group. Rather than preregistering for courses, students have the freedom to choose the activities that interest them throughout the session. We offer an age-appropriate balance of choice and structure to encourage experimentation, independence, and creative confidence.
