Judge Baker Children's Center, an affiliate of Harvard Medical School, is proud to sponsor the Summer Treatment Program (STP). The STP is an award winning program providing state-of-the-art treatment for children with ADHD and associated behavioral problems. Over the course of this 6-week program, your child will learn effective ways to manage ADHD and behavior problems! This program provides treatment tailored to each child's behavioral, emotional, and learning difficulties in the context of a fun, safe environment.
The Summer Treatment Program (STP) accepts children between the ages of 6 and 12. Children will be placed into two groups of 12, taught by specialized counselors, and supervised by a clinical psychologist. These counselors carry out behavior modification programs designed to treat children's problems in a group and in a classroom context. Children will learn to control their behavior through praise, positive reinforcement, and reward systems. Individualized and computer-assisted instruction is also provided. There is also a weekly parenting group where parents earn effective ways to parent a child with ADHD.
The days will fly by as children participate in sports and outside activities!
