Boston International Kids Film Festival is a three-day festival of juried films for, about, and by kids, along with classes, workshops and lots of mentoring opportunities.
It kicks off on November 1, 2013 at Tufts University in Medford, Massachusetts with a gala ceremony announcing Tufts’ biennial Eliot-Pearson Award for Excellence in Children’s Media (the “Abby”), followed by a keynote address by the winner and a screening of a new film.
Films will run all day Saturday, November 2 and on Sunday, November 3 from 1 – 6 pm, at the Somerville Theatre in Davis Square, Somerville. These films will be selected via online submissions (withoutabox.com) and in conjunction with other area children’s film festivals.
Workshops and classes tailored to both parents and children will be offered during the same times both days, held at Tufts University.
