Looking for a truly unique experience that the whole family can enjoy? Sign-up for the Breakfast with the Andean Condors program on April 20 at Franklin Park Zoo! Franklin Park Zoo is home to two Andean condors. These majestic birds can have impressive 10-foot wingspans and are one of the largest flying birds in the world. After Andean condors were nearly hunted to extinction, they were placed on the endangered species list in 1973. Their historical range is the Andes Mountains of South America, from Venezuela to the islands of Tierra del Fuego in the Strait of Magellan. Registrants for this program will receive special early entry to the Zoo and breakfast. A staff member will be available to answer questions and talk about the Andean condors. The cost is $10 for members/$12 for non-members (children under 2 eat FREE!). The program will be held on April 20 from 9:15 – 10:00 a.m. Pre-registration is required. To register, call 617-989-3742.
